I am working with an established Digitial/IT business based in the East Midlands who are looking for a HR Assistant on a fixed-term basis to support the team into 2025.

The role will report into the HR Business Partner but will support the wider team.

This is a fast-paced role, there will be plenty to get stuck into!

    Package:

    • Full-time, 6-month FTC (potential to become permanent)
    • Hybrid working, a few days a week in their main office with occasional travel to other offices

    The role:

    • First point of contact for HR & Learning and Development
    • Provide admin support across HR, L&D and general office support
    • Helping with process changes and improvements
    • Manage the employee lifecycle; onboarding, offboarding and changes
    • Carry out all pre-employment checks
    • Managing and organising DEI and HR calendars
    • Sending regular comms and summaries of updates to all employees
    • Set up/check compliance training has been carried out
    • Various other responsibilities including general office admin tasks

     

    Due to the main office location, a driver's license is essential for this role!

     

    About you:

    • Able to use your initiative, takes the time to do tasks thoroughly and to a high standard
    • A good communicator, able to effectively communicate across all seniority levels
    • Ability to prioritise workload and most urgent tasks
    • Computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with ability to learn new systems quickly
    • An understanding of SharePoint would be beneficial but not essential
    • Basic understanding of HR processes, ideally with experience of working with a generalist team
    • Basic understanding of employment law
    • Ideally you will be CIPD level 3 qualified (this is not essential)
